Our new charity necklace features the powerful word ‘Hope’, above a rainbow symbol, and represents the mantra, ‘I hold onto hope, I trust in tomorrow’.
As a team at Mantra, we feel we have learnt several very important things this year, and it has influenced the direction of our new Mantra pieces.
One of the most important things we learned is that positivity and belief are more important than ever, to remain steadfast, resilient and hopeful in the face of difficulty. We have all had to hold onto hope throughout the year: hope that things will get better, hope that we will get through this, and hope that life will get back to normal. A positive, optimistic and hopeful attitude to life has made everything so much easier.
So – we wanted to bring this to life as a necklace, to bring hope and positivity to the wearer.
But we also felt that such a necklace should help raise funds for an important cause. Our Mantra Changes Lives initiative is such a core part of Mantra, as we all believe that part of a company’s mission should be to give back. The Hope Necklace therefore raises funds for NHS Charities Together (registered charity no. 1186569), with 25% of the sales of this necklace going directly to the charity.
NHS Charities Together represents, supports and champions the work of over 230 NHS charities across the UK. NHS charities give £1 million a day to the NHS so that people can stay well for longer and get better faster. The Covid-19 Appeal was a great example of this.
We decided to change from our signature lotus, to a rainbow, in honour of the NHS. One of the most uplifting things about the whole Coronavirus crisis has been the way that communities pulled together, and the national wave of gratitude we all felt for the work of the NHS. Rainbows appearing in windows was just one of the positive sights that we all came to love.
The necklace is one of our discs, which is priced at £45 in Sterling Silver, or £55 in Rose or Yellow Gold-plated Silver.
Choose the Hope necklace to reinforce your own positivity, or choose it for a friend in need of a boost - and help the NHS at the same time. Whenever you are in need of a more optimistic outlook or a boost of positivity, hold onto your necklace and say its mantra to yourself. Powerful words can help to change your mood and your mindset.
It would make the perfect Christmas present for a friend or loved one, to remind them that this year might have been challenging and scary, but let’s end it on a positive note. Let’s all hold onto hope, and trust that tomorrow will be a better day.
