October sees us all mark
Breast Cancer month, with a focus on this awful disease, and all the people who
have been affected by it, or are currently dealing with it.
Here at Mantra, we work with
Breast Cancer Haven, a wonderful national charity that supports women
through their breast cancer treatment, providing a tailored package of
emotional, physical and practical support.
With six welcoming centres
across the UK and an expanding network of other services, the charity is there
to provide women with the support that treatment alone can't. When breast
cancer comes along, you can find yourself being relegated to the status of a
patient: Breast Cancer Haven (Registered Charity No.1061726) focuses on the
person, not the patient.
Mantra
Breast Cancer Haven Necklace
We created a fundraising
necklace for Breast Cancer Haven, to help raise awareness and funds for
this important charity.
The disc necklace features a
heart with a pink cubic zirconia stone set beneath, with the charity’s
signature ribbon swirl incorporated into the heart. It represents the
inspirational mantra, ‘You’re someone special. Someone strong. Someone loved’,
which is a powerful message celebrating each person’s unique individuality; and
a loving message for a partner or friend.
25% of the sales of this
necklace normally go to Breast Cancer Haven.
Throughout October, we are
donating 50% of the sales of this
necklace to the charity.
so buy yours now and raise even more money for
Breast Cancer Haven.
Power
Hour
Also this month, support the
Power Hour, Breast Cancer Haven’s own fundraising challenge. Here’s more
information:
In October the clocks go
back. We're challenging you to use your extra hour to support women with breast
cancer. There are so many things you can do for your My Power Hour challenge.
You could...
- Power Through: How far can you run in an hour
- 5k, 10k... even further?
- Power Dress: Dress up as your hero and join a
bucket collection for an hour
- Power Play: Host a board games party and ask
for donations to take part
- Power Ballads: Blast out as many ballads as
you can in an hour
- Flour Power: Bake some tasty treats and sell
them in your lunch hour at work or school.
Let your friends and family
know how you’ll be making your extra hour count this October and challenge them
to join you. You can use and follow #MyPowerHour
across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
By signing up to the
challenge you’re doing something amazing for people affected by breast cancer.
All the money raised this October will help us to support even more women with
free expert advice and support.
