Women for Women International (UK Registered Charity No. 1115109)
supports women who live in some of the world’s most dangerous places.
We have created a fund-raising necklace in our ‘Mantra Changes
Lives’ initiative, to support this wonderful charity.
The necklace has the powerful word ‘Sisterhood’ above our
signature lotus, with the heart-warming and supportive mantra, ‘We are all sisters,
by birth or by bond’. This mantra acts as a recognition of our shared
humanity, and a message of support and solidarity with women the world over. This
mantra celebrates women’s similarities, rather than our differences.
It is a powerful
gift for your daughter or a young woman setting out on her journey in life, to
remind them of the unique bond of women the world over; or a gift for your
sister, friend or colleague to celebrate your close relationship.
We are
donating 25% of the selling price to Women for Women International (UK Registered
Charity No. 1115109).
When there is an outbreak of war or violence, it is
women who suffer most – they experience trauma, sexual violence and the death
of loved ones. After the conflict is over, the world’s attention moves on, but
these same women are left to rebuild their families and communities. In fact –
it is more dangerous to be a women in times of conflict, than a soldier.
Since 1993, the charity has helped more than
479,000 marginalised women survivors of war in Afghanistan, Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kosovo, the Kurdistan Region of
Iraq, Nigeria, Rwanda and South Sudan.
Women enrol on the charity’s year-long training programme,
where they learn how to earn and save money, improve their family’s health and
make their voices heard at home and in their community.
The necklace is priced at £45 in Sterling Silver and £65 in Yellow and
Rose Gold-plated. We are donating 25% of the selling price to Women
for Women International (UK Registered Charity No. 1115109). From the sale of this necklace, we are initially aiming to
sponsor one woman survivor of war through the charity’s programme.
The necklace is
blank on the reverse to allow for personalisation, with a name, date or special
word or phrase. A powerful gift for your daughter or a young woman setting out
on her journey in life, to remind them of the unique bond of women the world
over; or a gift for your sister, friend or colleague to celebrate your close
relationship.
Join the Sisterhood: watch and share the #SheInspiresMe film or sponsor a woman through
the one-year programme for £22 per month and help change the world one woman at
a time.
